What DA Certified Means
When you see the DA Certified seal, you know the watch has earned our highest level of trust. Here is exactly what goes into every certified timepiece.
150-Point Inspection
Every DA Certified watch undergoes a comprehensive 150-point inspection covering the case, dial, hands, bezel, crystal, crown, caseback, bracelet, clasp, and movement. We examine cosmetic condition, structural integrity, and mechanical performance to ensure the watch meets our exacting standards before it enters our collection.
Full Authentication
Our experienced watchmakers verify every component against factory specifications. Serial numbers, movement calibers, dial markings, case engravings, and bracelet codes are cross-referenced to confirm authenticity and originality. Watches with non-original or aftermarket components are clearly disclosed or rejected from the program.
Professionally Serviced
Each watch is serviced to ensure reliable performance from day one. Gaskets are replaced for water resistance, movements are cleaned and lubricated, bracelets and cases are restored to proper condition, and the watch is timed on a professional timing machine across multiple positions to verify accuracy.
Comprehensive Warranty
Every DA Certified watch comes with our in-house warranty covering mechanical function and movement integrity. You receive full documentation including your warranty certificate, authentication summary, and service record. Our warranty is backed by a local Austin business you can visit anytime.
The Certification Process
From the moment a watch arrives at our Austin workshop to the day it reaches your wrist, here is the journey every DA Certified timepiece takes.
Intake & Initial Assessment
Every watch begins with a thorough visual and physical examination. Our watchmakers assess the overall condition, check for obvious signs of modification or damage, and verify that the watch is worth putting through our full certification pipeline. Watches that do not meet our baseline standards are rejected at this stage.
Authentication & Verification
The caseback is opened and the movement is inspected under magnification. Serial numbers, reference numbers, movement calibers, and all identifying features are verified against manufacturer records. Every component is checked for authenticity and originality, ensuring nothing has been swapped or replaced with aftermarket parts.
150-Point Inspection
The watch undergoes our comprehensive 150-point checklist covering every aspect of the timepiece: case condition, bezel function, crown operation, crystal clarity, dial integrity, hand alignment, lume condition, bracelet stretch, clasp function, water resistance, movement accuracy, power reserve, date function, and dozens more. Every finding is documented.
Professional Servicing
Based on the inspection findings, each watch receives the service it needs. This may include movement cleaning and lubrication, gasket replacement, crystal polishing or replacement, bracelet restoration, case refinishing, and timing adjustment. The goal is to return the watch to reliable, daily-wear condition while preserving its character.
Final Quality Control & Certification
After servicing, the watch goes through a final quality check. Timing is verified on a professional machine across six positions. Water resistance is tested. All functions are confirmed operational. The watch is then photographed, documented, assigned its DA Certified warranty, and placed in our showroom ready for its next owner.
